A gap nothing can ever fill

It is, with a very heavy and broken heart I want to share the news that my best friend, number 1 boy, and beloved therapy pony 'Jay' had a field accident last week, and is no longer with us.

I've felt physically sick this past week from such a traumatic turn of events, but in time I know we will rebuild ourselves and continue to make positive steps in the right direction through life. I'm still so lucky and grateful to have Daisy and our wonderful animals, alongside true friends and family..which is much more than some people have. But being greedy, I just would've much preferred to have him by my side too.

So this Christmas, all I ask for anyone who sees this is one thing.
Think ...
'What brings me joy?'πŸ˜ƒ
'What makes my life better?'πŸ’ͺ🏼
'What am I thankful for?'πŸ˜‡

(We all have at least one thing if not more that will spring to mind)
Here's your chance to remember to hold onto it and act on it, spend that extra minute hugging your dog, pursue your dream hobby, tell your friends they're hilarious, show your family you love them. Forget the new smartphone, latest gadgets and big displays, instead focus on whatever brings feeling, happiness and unavoidable joy- because that will never let you down or disappoint you.
Life is far too short and wonderful to wait until you wish you'd done just that, do it now.❀️

For me, animals have this incredible way of connecting with us when we feel so distant from everyone and everything else. Through ill health, he was gentle yet cheeky. At times when I hadn't seen my friends for weeks, I could be with him and any feeling of isolation would disappear. After various disastrous hospital appointments, I could cry and talk through my problems to this little guy (as long as I had some carrots nearby.)
He's been my biggest support for the past 18months and I genuinely feel as though my small world has been turned upside down, I didn't realise quite how much my life and daily thoughts revolved around him- neither did mum too. I was so thankful for him each and every day, often signing off bad news and tough times with 'at least we've got little Jay to cheer us up though.'

For now though, I know that if anyone makes it to heaven, it'll be Jay.❀️(I'm also very worried that if Breeze is there too, she'll be a very bad influence!)πŸ™ˆ
Merry Christmas everyone, we all have something to be thankful for and to look forward to.πŸŽ„
